It’s that time of year again — the time of year when the grocery store aisles look like a toothache, singles everywhere begin to stockpile wine, and new and old couples alike think of ways to muster up some romance. It’s Valentine’s Day!
Need we remind you that Valentine’s Day can be a great marketing opportunity for a lot of different businesses? If you haven’t added in some Valentine’s Day ad copy or a seasonal callout extension to yourAdWords campaign already, it’s not too late to reach out to your client service rep to ask them to do so. It’s also a great time to offer a special or discount off your services! Any excuse for more business is a good excuse.
In the meantime, all of us over here at Logical Position are gearing up for a day of self-spoiling, some family time, or a good old-fashioned date. We thought it would be fun to put some of our Sales, Client Services, and Placement team members on the spot and ask them what they had planned for the special day (though some of them weren’t quite as excited as we were).
Here’s what they said:
Tyler: I am taking my lady out on the Portland Spirit dinner this Friday!
Hannah: My boyfriend and I are going with friends to Zwickelmania (105+ breweries around Oregon, mostly in Portland, do brewery tours, free tastings, etc. Have free shuttles). Then he’s cooking me dinner at home!
Josh: Netflix marathon with Chinese food delivered. Possibly some champagne. AKA — best Valentine’s day ever!
Adam: Flying out to see my girlfriend in Chicago. We’re going to dinner and a show at the comedy club,Second City. Hope it’s good!
Denisse: In Bolivia, it’s Friendship Day, not Valentine’s Day, so I’m going to hang out with my friends and family and have a good time!
Roxy: I’m buying my boyfriend a velvet shirt! And then waiting to see what he surprises me with.
Matt: My girlfriend and I are going out to Cannon Beach to spend the day and go to our favorite restaurant out there (Bill’s Tavern). We will probably head up to Seaside afterwards and hang out on the boardwalk and all those little shops, then might head up to Astoria or down to Tillamook to do some other fun activities!
Mary: My boyfriend and I are going to the Imperial downtown — a restaurant that appeared on Top Chef, one of our favorite TV shows.
Kristen: Just sharing a bottle of wine while decorating our new house and hanging out with our cat and dog!
Scott: Velveeta mac and cheese, dog kisses, Facebook-stalking ex-girlfriends, turbotax.com, and an E. L. James book (I can’t say which one).
David: Gameday plan: surprise breakfast in bed, flowers, day hike, dinner out (Greek cuisine) and a bottle of wine.
